Katsina State Governor Engages in Productive Talks with South Korean Seamuel Foundation for Socio-Economic Development

In a significant move towards accelerating the socio-economic development of Katsina State, Governor Malam Dikko Radda engaged in a fruitful bilateral discussion with Seamuel Foundation, a prominent South Korean government organization. The foundation is renowned for its commitment to assisting developing countries in various facets of economic development and poverty alleviation.
Operating under the mandate of sharing the Korean experience of transforming adversity into affluence through self-help, diligence, and cooperation, Seamuel Foundation has previously extended its humanitarian support to two Katsina communities, namely Makera and Raddawa villages of Matazu and Dutsinma Local Governments.
The foundation's contributions to Katsina include the construction of irrigation facilities, the introduction of modern farming techniques, and the provision of implements to local farmers.
Expressing gratitude, Governor Radda conveyed the appreciation of the government and people of Katsina State to the South Korean organization for its humanitarian endeavors. He lauded the foundation's role in uplifting communities and individuals from drudgery, extreme poverty, to affluence and prosperity.
During the discussions, Governor Radda took the opportunity to request additional funding and an expansion of the project scope to encompass more Katsina communities. "I am appealing for the extension of the project timeline. We also request that your organization help build the capacity of our state extension workers at the Katsina state Ministry of Agriculture," he emphasized.
In response, the foundation's management affirmed their commitment to continuing their work in Katsina. They pledged to collaboratively develop a framework for operationalizing the extension and expansion of the project, aligning with Governor Radda's vision.
Meanwhile, Governor Radda and his delegation are set to meet with the Korean International Corporation (KOICA) and the Korea Trade and Investment Agency (KOTRA) on Monday, further underscoring the commitment to fostering partnerships for the state's development.
